What is Cellulitis Medical Condition?

Did you heard about this word cellulitis ever? In my very first post here, I will try to explicate some basics with the aim to reduce first shock, present at the beginning of this very usual and very unpleasant skin disease. This type of skin infection knows no gender or years, it involves all age groups, from the youngest to the oldest souls. It is not difficult to recognize the infection if you know the main symptoms. Symptoms can be divided into local and systemic. Local symptoms are reflective the place involved by this disease, while systematically symptoms can affect any region of the human organism.

Usually, most common symptoms are next:

1) inflammation and redness of affected region,

2) sensitivity and pain to touch the skin,

3) warmth of infected skin to the touch and of course,

4) swelling of affected skin area,

5) fever and chills are not rare too.

This type of health condition is commonly induced by changes of regular skin flora or exogenous bacterium types, inflammation generally starts at the stage where skin was previously cracked (cuts, blisters, burns, cracks in the skin, surgical wounds, sites of intravenous catheter insertion etc.). Diagnosis for this skin condition commonly lies of three fundamental steps. First step takes examination of patient medical records and medical chronicle, after that comes most fundamental step in cellulitis diagnosis procedure – the physical examination. Procedure of diagnosis ordinarily ends with certain blood tests in order to confirm presence of bacterial disease. If diagnosis process affirm presence of disease, it is very important that handling procedure start as soon is possible. In this condition antibiotics are ordinarily the best solution to heal this type of infection. Antibiotics are applied orally or endovenous depending of severity affected skin region. In case of return of the disease, treatment with antibiotics may last up to several months.

Cellulitis is a general infection that affects people of all ages and can occur on any part of the body. Fundamental cause of infection is bacteria (staph or strep) and treatment for cellulitis should be start as soon as possible. This type of disease is really rapid and uncontrolled spread. If is not processed, that kind of disease can cause fundamental hurt to human organic structure.
